Sengakuji

Japan Edo time leader Ieyasu Tokugawa founded this budhism temple.
One of buddism denomination <Sotosyu> temple.

with Takuminokami Asano and AkoRosi (47
soldiers) cemetery.

<Gishisai> December 14 Gishisai many visitors mourn for 47 soldiers.

History (call Chushingura) :
Takuminokami Asano was the lord during Edo time .His superior Kozukenosuke Kira maltreated Asano but Asano was always patient. One day in Edo castle(now imperial palace) Asano took his revenge by cutting Kira's forehead with a sword. afterwards Asano felt guilty and has to Seppuku(kill himself by thrust his stomach). after Asano`s burial in Sengakuji, his retainers decided to againts Kira.So on december 14 midnight, 47 retainers(call Akogishi) went Kira's house and killed Kira.Then soldiers go Sengakuji with Kira's head and sit front of Asano's grave showing kira's head.,Several days after 47 soldiers did seppuku(kill himself by thrust his stomach). (47 soldiers buried as well in Sengakuji beside`s Asano's grave.)
